It has been a great honor and very humbling to serve the people of House District 49 and the State of Colorado in the General Assembly. I’d like to thank you for the opportunity.

I got involved in politics years ago when my kids were little because I was very concerned about the direction our country and our state was taking.  I felt that government was getting out of control and I wanted to help make a difference, so I got involved in learning about the issues and I also worked hard to help get people I believed in elected to office.  As a citizen legislator, I still believe the same thing today as I did then, because I know what Edmund Burke said is true,  “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke).

My desire is to work for you while serving in the Legislature.  I do my utmost best to answer each email and am happy to help solve problems my constituents have with state government.

I know that taxpayers do not need burdens placed upon them by government, especially now during one of the worst economic downturns our state has ever seen. I promise to keep your interests in mind while searching for, creating and implementing solutions to the challenges we face.

I am very encouraged and hopeful that the best is yet to come for us as Coloradans.  And, I invite you to work with me to make a difference for the State of Colorado.
